Five Question Friday

        

         1. What is the one place you never want to live? 

In a card board box! Or some place where it is considered a 3^rd world country and most of the people live in poverty.

2. Do you consider yourself to be a "picky eater"?  

As a child definitely but now I feel like I am willing to try new things. (If we are out at someone’s home I will eat my food even if I don’t like it just to be polite, unless it makes me gag which cross my fingers has not happened yet!)

3. What do you think people say about you behind your back?

Oh goodness I don’t really want to know what people would say about me. I hope nothing bad; a fear of mine is that people would talk about my acne behind my back. I know I have it and right now I just can’t get it under control and I have tried different things but nothing is working right now. (I am very insecure about having acne)

4. If you could own and operate any major business what would be?

A really successful architecture company or home builder company.

5. Do you feel as if you are a black-and-white only person, or a person who sees many gray areas? 

That is to say, do you have strong opinions on everything, or do you recognize the need to compromise? I feel like I have a good mixture in these shades. I do have my strong opinions on things and then other things I am will to compromise. It just really depends on what it is about.

Renovation Wednesday

So renovations have been on a bit of a stand still as you may have noticed with no renovation Wednesday posts lately. But there has been a little bit of progress happening. On Saturday when I went to River Dance with my mom Matt was at home working on the basement! He started to work on his storage room closet! He also did the electrical for both rooms, they now both have lights, and light switches. In Matt's storage room put up a shelf with 2 plug out lets above the shelf because that is going to be used to hold his battery chargers for his tools, say good bye to dead batteries! So I took a few pictures of what he completed that day. He wasn't able to work the whole day because he kept getting church phone calls and then we went over to a friends home for dinner. 

 



He even labeled and filled the draws with
 different screws and nails!

Weekend Recap

Yay long weekend!


Friday

Today was great! This morning we had our Good Friday service. After church we just went home and I was able to get our laundry done and a few other things around the house. This evening we went over to my brother's house because he was having a bunch of our mutual friends over for a "party". It was really fun there was lots of music and so much laughing that my cheeks were so sore, you know when it starts to have that feeling after you eat something sour right in the jaw joints, ya that is what I was having I was laughing and smiling so much! I'm going to see if I can get a few pictures from Tiara (she was the only one who brought her camera).

Saturday

Today was really great, I got to have a fairly lazy morning and then I got to spend the afternoon with my mom because she was taking me to go see Riverdance for my birthday!  The performances were really awesome! My favorite part was called Trading Taps it was of a "tapping competition" between 5 guys, 2 against 3. But they made it really funny because when the one group of 3 were tapping the other 2 would look over at them and make gestures to the audience to make it seem like what they were doing was not good enough. It was just so funny and really good.

After that we went to this German store in Calgary called Edelweiss. Its always fun to go and look around in the store and then we had also had a German dessert! I had a piece of pound cake that was dipped in chocolate and my mom had a cheese cake.
 As soon as my mom dropped me off at home Matt and I were out the door to go to a friend's house for dinner. It was great to see them it had been a while since we had last seen them and spent some time with them.

Sunday

Happy Easter everyone! Today was great, we had a nice Easter service and after we went to my parent's house for a Easter Lupper (lunch/supper). It was so good! We also got to take left overs home so we get to eat them on Monday too! Then we had a nice relaxing evening at home.

Five Question Friday

1. What is your favorite sign of spring?

Longer days! I love that the sun rises earlier and that it sets much later, I just feel like I have more to a day when it is like this. Oh and the fresh smell in the air that spring has.

2. What was your best birthday ever?

Well I usually don't really do too much for my birthday but this birthday month (April) was the best for sure.

3. What is your favorite dessert?

 My favorite dessert is my birthday cake that my mom makes! It is fantastic. I should have taken a picture this year but I couldn't wait to eat it. It is a white cake (I think a french vanilla cake mix) with real whip cream (not the can or tub stuff) with fresh strawberries sliced up all over it. YUM! I really want cake now!

4. What is the best excuse you've ever used to get out of a ticket?

Well I have never been pulled over or in any situation to get a ticket. Not even a parking ticket. Knock on wood that this never does happen.

5. Do you wake up before your alarm, with your alarm, or after hitting snooze several times?

I have done all of these at least once. But for the most part I just wake up to my alarm. There is the odd time that I will wake up before my alarm but I'm trying to not make that a habit i would like to sleep as long as I can.
