Weekend Recap

Friday

Today after work I went and picked up my best friend that I have know for forever. She is from Winnipeg where I used to live, so I don't get to see her much anymore because we don't live in the same city. But she had come out today because she couldn't come for my baby's baby shower on Sunday because no one was able to take her shift at work for her.
We went out to dinner just the two of us which was so nice, it was so good to catch up. Her and her mom spoiled my baby girl. She brought us a huge bag full of baby items, tons of clothes, blankets, toys, feeding things, there was such a wide variety of things in there it was crazy!
After dinner I drove her back to her hotel and then I headed over to my house since it was close to where I was so I could visit Matt for a little bit. I couldn't stay too long because I have to get up early tomorrow, we have our Maternity photo shoot in the morning! So excited!

Saturday

This morning I woke up nice and early and started to get ready for our maternity photo shoot, it was a good thing I showered the night before because I know my hair and it was still pretty wet in the morning. I didn't want to take a shower in the morning and have to blow dry my hair for 30 minutes to try and get it dry, yet it was still a bit wet over night. That is at least easier to dry the just after showering.
Anyways so I used two sets of hot rollers to curl my hair. Yes two full sets, I don't know how I was able to fit them all on my head but I did. After all of this I had plenty of time to eat and finish getting ready. Our photo shoot wasn't until 10:30am and I was up four hours before that so I had lots of time to get all ready.
We met up at Fish Creek Park to take the pictures. It was such a nice morning, it was warm and the sun was beautiful. At 12pm we wrapped it up and the photos were done, I like taking pictures while Matt he was a troop and stuck it out. He doesn't like taking so many pictures but I am glad he got through it with out getting grumpy.
After this we went to a funeral service for one of the sisters at church from a different congregation then us. She unfortunately lots the battle to ovarian cancer. It was a really nice service and a great turn out, lots of people were touched by her in someway in their lives.

Today was service in the morning and then we left fairly quickly because this afternoon is my baby's baby shower! So I got back to my parents house quickly changed and then my dad and I started making the sandwiches. It was a little hectic getting things ready but it all worked out in the end.
It was a really great baby shower, Rachel hosted it and planned the games which were really fun. We played "my water broke", guess how many baby pins are in the baby food jar, guess what is in the bags and guess what traits I would hope that our baby has from both of us (so things like who's hair, eyes, nose things like that). It was all so creative!
There was a lot of people that came which was very wonderful and unexpected. I only knew the people that had RSVP to us but there were many more that came that hadn't RSVP. It was a very crowed house for a while, but I couldn't be happier with how many people support Matt and I with having our new little baby on the way, it really makes you feel loved.
Our baby girl really got spoiled from this baby shower, its going to take me a long time to go through everything again.

Monday

Well Monday is in this too because it is a long weekend, yay Family Day. Unfortunately I didn't spend it with Matt since I am still living at my parent's house and he is still working on renos. Hopefully by the end of this week I can be moving back in to my home since our carpet is getting installed tomorrow!!!
So today I had gone through all the gifts from the baby shower, I took them all out of the bags and piled them up, I have to go through and actually organize it better but I'm glad I got to look through it all again because at the baby shower things were just going so fast.

This evening we went out for dinner to celebrate Rachel's Birthday! YAY HAPPY BIRTHDAY RACHEL! We went to Joey's, it was delicious! Matt and I got her some Tupperware because that is what she wanted, I know that she will use it all!

Friday

Today I still had the day off from work since we took the whole week off between Christmas and New Years. Matt also had the day off but that was because he can't work when his finger is still healing. Oh well things happen. But my dad came over again today and worked on the basement for us doing more sanding and mudding on the drywall. I can't believe how much has gotten done this week.

Saturday

Today is New Years Eve, Matt and I do not have any big plans for tonight. We went to church in the evening, we got there a little bit early which was good because we didn't have an organist so I played the organ for service. Well my playing is not that good all I was able to do was play with my right hand and only the saprano parts. But we made it work.
When we got home we watched a little bit of TV and then went to bed. We definitely did not stay up till 12 am, kind of a boring night but we are totally ok with that.

This morning we went to church for service and again we didn't have our usual organists, but Rachel came to my rescue and played for service. I was so relieved because I didn't know how to play 2 of the songs.
Later on we went over to John and Rachel's for dinner, it was delicious! John's parents were still in town visiting so we got to visit with them too which was also really nice.

The only thing that really happened this weekend was on Saturday we went to Gaucho for my work Christmas dinner, well we went for lunch. It was really good food, its a Brazilian restaurant. We all left there really full and didn't eat anything really at all for the rest of the day.

Today I got to leave work a little bit earlier since I had come in earlier and had stayed later the day before. It was really great to be off earlier because tonight I get to babysit Henry again! Things went well during my baby sitting time even though Henry was teething, he was a really good boy. After when John and Rachel got home I headed over to the church because there was youth there already from Edmonton for our youth day tomorrow. I just stayed for a short time since it was late and I needed to get to bed because tomorrow is going to be a busy day!


Saturday

Today we have a Youth Day at our church which started at 8am! So I was there early to start getting the breakfast ready. To recap the day there was a lot of activity going on, there was games played, Christmas shoe boxes being put together, choir practices (since in the evening the youth are putting on a coral choir for the congregations) Oh it was a very long day. I didn't get to watch the choral program because I was in the kitchen preparing food and cleaning up from dinner. But it sounded good from what I did hear.

We had service in the morning and the Edmonton youth were still at the church so they joined us for service here. After service we had fellowship and then cleaned up and home we went. It is always so exhausting after a youth weekend or day just because there is so much that goes into it.

Today after work not a whole lot happened which is fine with me its nice to not have to do anything sometimes.

Today in the afternoon we had a youth coral choir practice since next week is our coral choir concert. It went well, we were missing quite a few people but what can you do.

Today Matt and I went to two different churches. He went to the one that we usually go to and I went to a different congregation since we had been invited a while back to go there for this Sunday to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was really nice to be there and there was really good food after. Matt wasn't able to make it there after service because his service that he was at went longer then the one that I was at. Oh well I wished our friend happy birthday for the both of us.

Friday

Today Matt and I didn't have to work because it is Remembrance Day. So I went over to my parents house because my mom and I needed to make the perogies for Christmas Eve this year. We ended up making around 140 or so, we kind of forgot to keep count. But it went really quickly once we had everything prepared. Here is a picture of the end result, we had 2 containers full.

While I was at my parents Matt was at home with his brother Kris. Kris decided he had some time now so he put our plumbing in. Don't get me wrong we are really happy this is getting done by him, we just wish he would have done it when he originally said he was going to do it.

Did some clean up around the house and Matt continued to work on the basement. He filled in the floor about halfway with the concrete that we had but took a break because that is a lot of work to do on your own. That stuff is heavy I remember caring in those bags of concrete from the truck. 15 pounds each and I think we had about 12 or so.

Today we had church in the morning and then after we didn't do anything too crazy. Matt continued to work on the basement with the concrete with the help of my brother and finished the bags that we had. It didn't fill up all of the trench but it was pretty close. My brother has some extra concrete at his house that he is going to give us so we can get it finished.

This evening we went to a funeral for a sister that passed away after she lost the fight of breast cancer for the last 12 years. It was a beautiful service and her husband shared the story of how they had met, it was so sweet. Unfortunately we had to leave very soon after the service because we had to pick someone up at the airport.
We got to the airport and checked his flight and it was still going to be about 20 minutes before he landed. So we had a snack at Tim Horton's since we really didn't have time to eat between work and leaving for the funeral. Once Sam arrived we didn't have to wait too long for his bag and then we headed home. We stayed up and chatted for a while, I went to bed earlier then the guys though, but they had a good time catching up.

This morning I got up and made the guys breakfast before their seminar that they had to go to. Sam came into town because he was the one holding the seminar. So off they went and I stayed home and did a few things around the house and then went out and got a few groceries, I know super exciting!
After I got home from getting groceries I started to make supper and good thing I did because the seminar ended earlier then what it was suppose to and then Matt took Sam to a few places but didn't tell me that they had finished early. So supper was definitely not done by the time they got home.
We had dinner around 6:30pm, they said dinner was good so I hope they weren't just saying that to make the pregnant lady feel good.
Then a little bit later we had our friends John, Rachel and their son Henry over as well to chat away the evening and for dessert too!

Today was service, but it was a special service because it was for the souls in the relms of the departed. I'm not sure if you remember me talking about this from other posts when we have had this service in the past but it happens 3 times a year. It is to invite those souls who have passed on to the service, but don't think of it as we are summoning the dead, that is completely not what we do. For me it just really helps me focus on those in my life that have passed on before me and really makes me remember and think of them.
After service we went out for lunch and then headed to a store quick before heading home for Sam to pack his things and for Matt to take him to the airport.
All in all it was a fairly busy weekend.

Friday

Today after work I met my friend Sokhim at the mall because first we haven't seen each other since the summer and second I wanted to look for a maternity winter jacket (I didn't want to have to struggle to get into my coat).

Saturday

In the morning I decided to get some chores done and make banana muffins. I made 3 batches. It took a while to get them all baked but I was able to finish with enough time to get ready for the afternoon events.
This afternoon Matt left to go to Edmonton to hold youth service there tonight while I stayed home since there was a local youth service and coral concert practice here. The practice started at 3:30pm at the church but we didn't start singing until closer to 4pm since we waited on a few others to arrive. After that at 6pm we had youth service and Rachel had provided the meal/snack afterwards. It was also the first time in a long time that no one needed me to pick them up or give them a ride home for a youth service!

Today we had service in the morning and right after I helped my parents take down some of the Thanksgiving decorations. I didn't end up staying too long because I had to go and run a few errands. As it was getting later and I was home again I called Matt to see where he was and he was still about an hour and a half from home. I ended up taking a nap on the couch and when I woke up Matt was home, it was the fastest hour and a half ever!

Today after work I was pretty busy, first I went to motherhood maternity because I really wanted to get some maternity skinny jeans to wear with boots. Not only did I find skinny jeans but I also found another everyday pair of jeans just so I wouldn't have to figure out my days to be able to wash my one pair of maternity jeans that I had boughten before. Then I went to Costco and the Sobey's to pick up food for tomorrow's meeting at the church.

Saturday

Today we had our youth leaders meeting at the church, which I think it went really well. Unfortunately we were missing a couple of people but definitely glad that those who came did. I was in charge of the food which I have become fairly used too since Matt has been a youth leader. This really took up our whole day because after the meeting we all went out to Boston Pizza for dinner.

Sunday

Today was service and most of the youth leaders were able to stay in the city for service and didn't have to be in their own congregations in the other cities. After service though Matt was so tired and had such a bad headache that as soon as we got home he went for a nap because later this evening we were invited to the home of friends of ours. I woke Matt up with extra time before we had to go and he still wasn't feeling all the best but he still got ready and we were able to go together. Dinner was really great! Also we were given somethings for our baby that her son is too old for. Here are some of the items.

Friday

Today Matt flew out to Ontario for a District youth leaders meeting for the weekend. I will miss him all weekend until he comes back!
So today was a little bit stressful for a bit. I left work early because I had a doctor's appointment in the afternoon at 2:20pm. I got to the ctrain platform downtown at about 1:40pm. There were a lot of people on the platform which only means one thing, the ctrains are having problems and they are not running. Last time this happened they got everyone to go to the end of the line and catch the ctrain there. Well the only problem with that was when I got to the end there still weren't any trains.
I was messaging my brother's girlfriend Megan at the time and she works really close to downtown so she said she would come and pick me up. Literally 3 minutes later she was there. By this time though I was already late for my appointment but I had called earlier to let them know there were problems with the ctrains downtown and I was downtown. They were totally fine with it which was great however I was so anxious since I am never late for a doctor's appointment.
Megan drove me to my car at the ctrain station I was parked at and I headed for my doctor's appointment. They got me in right away which never happens usually and they did all the stuff they had to do. Then after my appointment I went home because I was going to be meeting Rachel there so we could go shopping for boots.
We went to the mall and went to every shoes store or at least just about every shoe store. I hate it when walking around the mall and you can't find what you are looking for in the stores but everyone else is wearing what you want. Its crazy, everyone had nice boots on and we were having such a hard time finding any. Well at the end of the shopping trip Rachel found some boots and ordered them. I still however did not find any yet, but I wont give up.

Saturday

Today was a stay at home, didn't shower, stay in my pj's all day kind of day. Since Matt wasn't around I was able to get a few things done around the house. I also went online to look for boots as well. I have had some luck before when shopping online at Aldo, so I went to their website first. Low and behold, I found boots, not only did I find boots but they were in the clearance section for only $45 only left in my size. To me that is meant to be. Sorry no picture but I will take one when I get them, should be this week hopefully.

Today I went to church and we had a choir practise afterwards as well. After that I went to the mall to check for a few items. I did get one thing that I wanted but it wasn't for me. Matt had also texted me and told me he forgot his phone charger in Toronto and that if I could pick him up one while I was at the mall.
I had gone to the mall close to my parent's house so I went to their house afterwards. I ended up staying there until I had to leave to pick Matt up at the airport. It was a really nice afternoon/evening, I always get fed so well when I am over there, it was awesome.

Today I got off work a little bit earlier than normal which was great! I also went over to John and Rae's house for dinner, Matt was invited too but he was golfing with John so they came arrived later then me. It was a great dinner!

Saturday

Today we had a youth choir practise because at the end of November we are going to have a youth Christmas concert so we need to get some practices in before then. After that all the youth that came to the choir practise then got to go to the Calgary Corn maze. It was a really nice day out and I think everyone enjoyed themselves. We had three teams to go through the corn maze, the guy youth, the girl youth and the youth leaders.

Rae wanted me to show off my belly so Matt decided to show his off too.

Today for our Canadian church Thanksgiving we were asked to bring a snack that was red and white to represent Canadian Thanksgiving. I made red and white jello! My mom always would make layered jello so I asked her for the recipe and tried it out. It turned out not to bad, and it tasted good!

Today after work I had to go to our other dental office because we were all meeting there to take our CPR refresher course. Being a dental assistant we have to update our CPR every year. I hope I never ever have to use it though! After that I just went home and did a few lazy things around the house.

Saturday

Today was full of everything! Since I had put off going to Costco for the last 2 days I had to go this morning. So I left my house just before 9:30am (which is when they open and always before 9:30am there is already a line up outside the door) and was still able to get a descent parking spot when I arrived. I loaded my cart, because really how can you not when you are at Costco its so easy, and got the items that I needed for our church Thanksgiving (more on that in a bit).
When I was leaving Costco it was starting too rain, I don't mind the rain at all, I always giggle to myself when I see the ladies holding whatever they can find over their heads so their hair wont get wet. I say rain water is great for your hair, it makes it nice and soft! Also as I was loading my groceries in my car there was a car waiting for my spot the whole time. When I had like one or two things left in my cart a lady from that car came up and said "oh I'll take your cart too while my husband parks" and off she went to the store. Its crazy! Costco is a crazy place to go on a Saturday morning, yet I do it all the time.
Matt was working this morning so when I got home I had to bring in all my groceries that were for us but I left the groceries that I was going to be bringing to the church. I grabbed a quick snack while I was at home because I had to leave again to go to the church, I only put the groceries that had to go in the fridge or freezer and left all the other items in the living room.
So church Thanksgiving, is great! We celebrate Thanksgiving in our church with the congregation the weekend before Canadian Thanksgiving to allow that weekend for families. So on the Saturday before church Thanksgiving we bring fruits and vegetables to the church so we can decorate the alter with them. The food doesn't go to waste afterwards because members of the church take some items home and then whatever is left we donate them. With everyone working together we were able to get the alter completed in about 2 hours, there of course was still a few other things to get done after that and clean up but it went pretty quick.
Then I got home from that just after 1pm because I was meeting someone at 2 and I wanted to stop home first to eat something. Lucky me Matt was home and he had pizza with him, I was just going to have a bagel but pizza was way better! I had a few pieces and then off I went again.
I went to go meet up with my friend Janeen at Starbucks since we have not seen each other in a few months. It was a really short visit but great at the same time.
Later this evening Matt and I went to go and pick up 2 old furnaces from my parents house because a friend of ours from out of town was going to pick them up for his garage. So after we got them we went over to my brother's house where we were meeting them and hung out for a while and caught up with one another.
We did not get home till close to 11pm which is so late for me, I'm usually in bed by 8:30-9pm. As soon as I hit the pillow I was out!

Church Thanksgiving is here! This is how the alter turned out from the decorating yesterday.

After the service we had a large pot luck fellowship with turkey and all the side dishes. I ate so much I had to get a friend to eat some of the turkey that I had left over.

Later in the afternoon Rachel came over and we watched a movie, Henry slept the whole time! After they had left it was time to clean up some of the mess from making mashed potatoes for the church fellowship.

Today however was more exciting. We decided to go to Red Deer this weekend not only to visit Matt's parents but to also go vegetable picking on Sunday on the way home. We went and picked up John, Rachel and Henry in the afternoon and then off we went.
We had a nice visit with Matt's parents and also did a early birthday celebration for his mom since we will not be in Red Deer for her birthday. First we had a BBQ dinner and then we had cake. Here she is opening her gift.

We got her matching picture frames so she can put pictures of each of her grandkids in. I had asked her what she wanted and this is what she asked for.  Right now she has 4 grandkids but I know we will have at least one but hopefully 2 and I'm not sure about Matt's younger brother if they will have another child, so i bought them 8 picture frames just in case.


Sunday

Today we went vegetable picking on our way home from Red Deer. We stopped at a farm in Bowden that Rachel had found online.

Not only did they have vegetables they had flowers too.

Friday

After work today I had to go make a delivery to one on my Mary Kay customers so I got home from work had a snack and got ready to leave. I left around 5pm and got home at about 6:30pm (we always end up chatting when I go over). But when I came home Matt still wasn't home from work! So I messaged him to find out where he was. He was in Strathmore and the job that he was at was not going very well. He did not get home until after 8pm which is really late in comparison to when he normally comes home from work. The rest of the night was really laid back.

Saturday

Today I slept in which was awesome! But then we had to do some cleaning in the house because someone was going to be staying over just for the night.
Later on today we had youth service so Matt and I both left early to go and pick people up. We had service first and then had a mini discussion and then food and played games in the gym. Here are a few pictures.

Today we had service in the morning and my mom had brought me a bag from Megan (my brother's girlfriend) because both her and I have been looking for the spin pins and she found them! If you have not heard about them or seen them they are really cool and they are suppose to reduce the amount of bobbie pins that you need to use to hold your bun or up do. Here is a picture if you haven't seen them before.

After church Matt went golfing so I had plans to go do some errands but when I got home to change I decided I didn't feel like going out anymore so instead I had a nap!

Today after work was just a nice veg night! There were two things that I did tonight. 1. was get an engagement gift ready for the party on Sunday and 2. get Matt to help me fill my car up with our bottles so I could take them to the recycle depot tomorrow. Talk about a rough night ;)

Saturday

So today was more productive. This morning I went to the bottle depot to return all of our bottles since it has been a while. I got to the bottle depot filled 2 carts and still had 3 bags to carry. There was a nice guy that was behind me that helped me push one of my carts since he only had 2 bags. We had a good conversation waiting in line it was pretty funny. Then I left the bottle depot with $77.00! As you can tell I had a lot of bottles to bring in. This still is about $40 short of my biggest load to the bottle depot. I really need to make sure I stay on top of it so I don't have to take so many in all at once.
I figured that since I was out I would go to a few stores since I was in the shopping area and first stop I went to was Micheal's arts and craft store. I have been wanting a fall wreathe to put on my door for so many years now and since I have a gift card to there I figured I should see what they have. Here is the wreathe that I found and I love it!

Also I had picked up some scrap booking paper because some of the sheets were on sale for 5 for $1 when each sheet is normally 0.99 cents, can;t pass up a good deal!
Then I went to a few other stores to try and find my mom a new bread maker since her birthday is on Tuesday and her bread maker died. I finally found one at Zellars so I called up my brother and wanted to make sure that he was good with going in on it with me. Of course he was because then he wouldn't have to go out and try and figure out what to get our mom, this usually happens every year.

Finally the shopping was all done and I went home and did a few things around the house and then relaxed since Matt was out golfing....AGAIN!

Today was a pretty busy day. First we had church in the morning followed by a choir practice which I think went really well. Then by the time I left church it was just after 1pm and there was the engagement party that started at 1pm. So I got home found Matt on the couch waiting for me since he got home from church way before me, quickly changed and grabbed a snack and then off we went.
We arrived at the party and not too many people were there yet, so we just started chatting it up with everyone. It was a really nice party because we haven't seen some of the people there for a while. Then more people started coming which was great, and there was so much food to eat too! It was such a good way to spend the afternoon/evening. We left around 6:30pm and there were still a few people left but they were going to be leaving soon too since it was only suppose to go till about 5pm but when the chatter is going you just forget about the time.

Today after work was really exciting because Matt and I were given the opportunity to baby sit Rachel's son Henry! Of course we had said yes when we were asked. John and Rachel were going out for their anniversary dinner and they decided on not taking Henry even though it was a tough choice for them. So I got to their house before Matt because he had to work later then me. When I got there Rachel showed me a few things and then they finished getting ready.
After they left Henry and I hung out and played with different toys. Then Matt came over and he snatched up Henry from me, which allowed me to eat my dinner. While I was eating John and Rachel text us asking for a picture of Henry, it was so funny they were only gone for maybe an hour. Henry had a little nap and then we warmed up a bottle for him after his nap and then John and Rachel came home again. They are such cute parents wanting pictures of their baby while they were out for dinner for just over 2 hours and as soon as they came home you could see they missed their little guy so much! Henry is so Blessed to have these two as his parents!
We didn't stay to long after they got home because we wanted to give them their time with Henry before he went to bed.

The Rest of the weekend

Was pretty much uneventful for me. Matt was away in Cranbrooke BC and I was at home just catching up on chores and then really didn't do much more at all. This was a long weekend too so we had the Monday off from work, I really didn't maximize this long weekend. The next one I will try to be more productive!

Today after work I really didn't end up doing too much which was GREAT!

This afternoon we had youth service at our new church and we used the gym for basketball and was outside most of the time afterwards too. I had to leave a little bit earlier because there was a bachlorette "party" for my friend Doris who is getting married next week! There was a ton of food and some fun games. I stayed for a few hours because around 8 to 8:30ish they were going to start getting ready to go out to some bars (i'm not really the bar type of person) But it was a really great evening!

Today after church I met up with my brother's girlfriend Megan in Westhills to go to a movie and do a little bit of shopping before hand. There wasn't really anything "good" that I could find so I didn't buy anything except for a new curling iron. Megan bought a candle and some sented beads and some sweat pants for my brother. Then we drove back to the movie theatre and watched Stupid Crazy Love. It had some really funny parts in there and it was really cute!

Today is our 5th Wedding Anniversary! Time has gone by so fast I can't believe it has been 5 years that we have been married already. I'm not sure if anyone else ever feels this way but I feel like it has been much longer, but in the good way. I just love my husband so much that it just feels like this is how it has always been, us married. I really am super excited and happy to be spending the rest of my life with him, he truly is my one and only!
Matt had to work late today so we weren't really able to go out for dinner so instead I just made something simple and we watched a movie. We are really low key type of people and don't feel the need to do something extravagant on "special occasions", I prefer to just do things randomly through out the year. It was a really nice evening just the two of us hanging out.

This morning Matt had to go to work for a while and then we were going to heading to Cranbrook BC because Matt was on the schedule to hold service on Sunday there. So we didn't leave until 2:20pm and then we got a bit of traffic heading out of the city (really on a long weekend I thought everyone would be gone this weekend). The drive was not too bad but there was quite a bit of traffic on the highways too.
Once we got to Cranbrook we signed in to our hotel and then went for some dinner. We just walked over to East Side Mario's since it was on the same side as our hotel so we didn't have to run across the highway (that would not have been safe). During dessert the rector and his wife from Cranbrook came to hang out with us for a bit at the restaurant since we wouldn't be seeing them tomorrow (they were scheduled to go to Castlegaar)
Then we walked back to the hotel and pretty much went to sleep right away, it was a long day of driving.

Sunday

We went to the Cranbrook congregation for service and they have a large group of senior ladies who are super nice and hilarious. We had a great time there. Then Matt and I headed home (another 4 + hour drive) but we took a bit of a different route to get home and we stopped for ice cream on the way. Matt got a milk shake and I had smarties ice cream and cookies and cream, they were big scoops and I can't believe I ate the whole thing!
Once we got home I unpacked and we spent the evening relaxing.

Monday

Yay long weekend Monday! Today Matt went out golfing with some guys I would have gone but I just felt like staying home and getting somethings done around the house since we were having some company this evening. So I did the usual boring cleaning things, I won't go into detail because that will get really boring.
Just after 6pm our friends Rob and Evelyn came over with their kids, we just had pizza and salad because I wasn't sure what the kids liked to eat or wouldn't touch so we thought pizza would be safe.
It was a nice evening, it was short but it was still really great to see them.

Friday

This afternoon Matt's parents came to our house for the weekend since this is the weekend where we have our new church dedication! So it will be a fairly busy weekend ahead. This evening though was pretty laid back, just finished getting somethings together for tomorrow and had dinner.


Saturday

Oh early morning! I woke up early today because my mom was going to coming over to my house for around 9am so we can head out right away to Costco so I can pick up the flowers that I had ordered. So off we went and got to Costco before it opened at 9:30am and got our cart and bins ready to pick up the flowers. As soon as it opened we headed to the flower stand and let the ladies know that I was here to pick up my order. While they went to the back to get the order mom and I were looking at the other flowers there and started to pick some other flowers that they had gotten in. See with Costco they have a list that you can order from but they can't always necessarily get the exact flowers you want so you have to put a second choice down just in case. Also they sometimes just randomly get flowers that they never usually get like peonies! So I took three packages of peonies and different colored hydrangeas! Not to bore you too much now let me just skip the process of putting them together (there was some drama from other people that was going on) and show you the end results.

Sunday

Today was our dedication service for our new church. In the morning all I could think about was I hope my flowers aren't dead yet. That would have been awful! When we got there the flowers still looked great hooray! It was a very early morning because the choir had to be there early to do warm ups and get in their seats because this service was going to be transmitted to other congregations across Canada. After the service we went to a big hall and had a great lunch, I was starving by then because I didn't have a very big breakfast, I should have brought snacks with me, oh well. But over all the day went really great.

Friday

Around 10:30am today I went over to my friend Sokhim's house since she had the day off from work and I have had the whole week off from work  (as well as next week!). They just bought a new house in Chestermere so I went to check it out and to catch up on everything.
Their home is so beautiful! As we were catching up she told me that they had finished their website that they were working on and they sell different baby items. Here is the site that you all can check out. They even make little rocker chairs for kids you definitely need to have a peak at those I have never seen them any where else before.
Then the rest of my day I just did a few things around the house.

Saturday

Today Matt and I went to our church because we were going to meet other people there to clean out the church and bring it to our new church that will be dedicated next week on Sunday. We got there around 11am and got right into it and started cleaning it out. There ended up being maybe around 20 people who came to help which made things go a lot faster if there were only a handful of people. We were able to get the majority of the things out of the church by just after 2pm and headed to the new church. Matt and I only stayed till about 4:30 to 5pm ish. Others were still there till 11pm getting different things built and in their final spots.
Matt and I had headed over to John and Rachel's house and we had a really nice dinner with them.

Sunday

This morning we had our last church service in the old church building and are looking forward to next Sunday for our first service in the new church! I can't believe its already next week, time just seems to have flown. After church Matt had a T time for golf and I stayed home and made some mini banana muffins and to loaves of banana bread. For dinner I made taco salad (it's one of Matt's favorites) I really like this dish too and we will have left overs for a few days!
