Five Question Friday

 

1. Have you ever had surgery?

I have only had one wisdom tooth removed. I still have 3 more to get out :(

2. Ever ride in an ambulance?

No I have not been in an ambulance Thank Goodness!

3. How are you in a medical emergency? Panicked? Calm?

Well I hope I would be able to be calm but I really am not sure how I would act since I haven't really been involved in medical emergencies. I was around someone that was choking and I think I was pretty calm. (this person did survive just if your wondering)

4. Do you have a garden? Flowers or veggies?

I don't have a full garden, I would like one though so I could grow some veggies. I do however have a flower bed at the front of the house which does get flowers in the summer time.

5. When did you move out of your parents house?

I moved out of my parents house in 2006 at the end of July which is when we had gotten married.

My Birthday

Today is my birthday in which I turned 24. I really thought I was turning 25 for some reason, but hey that means I just gained a year! My side of the family celebrated my birthday and my brother's birthday on Sunday April 3 at my parents house (My brother and I are born 2 years and 2 days apart, my birthday is the 5th and his is the 7th). But today it was just Matt and I. He was really sweet and was asking me what he could make me for my birthday dinner, all I wanted was a toasted tomato sandwich. If you have never tried one you must! They are so good. So that is what we had for dinner.

But let me get back to how my day started at work. So I got to work and we had a really busy day a head of us, like super stupid busy. Unfortunately the other dental assistant had slipped on ice on her way to work this morning and had hit her head which then made her feel really dizzy and sick feeling. So she asked if I could do more of the clinical stuff today (which I don't have a problem with at all). But then at about 9:30am she said that she just couldn't do it anymore and asked our boss if she could leave. So then it was just me and my boss with the rest of the day a head of us. Well we got through the day with out too many problems the only thing was is that we had to stay an hour later because we were still working on patients. Also no one at work said Happy Birthday to me. Except one person said Happy Birthday to me but that was only after my mom had called my work to wish me happy birthday and told her. So by the end of my work day I was a little bit grumpy I just wanted to get home.

I got home and I was in a grumpy mood and covered in spit (well not completely, as a dental assistant sometimes there is splashing). So I went straight for the shower and then I told Matt all about my day and how it had made me all grumpy with it being on my birthday. After that I felt way better and then I had really stopped to notice that Matt had bought me flowers :)

As I had said earlier we had toasted tomato sandwiches for dinner and while we ate them we had watch the movie Little Fockers. It was pretty cute. To finish off my birthday I was able to go to bed early, man do I LOVE sleep!

Weekend Recap

Oh this weekend.... we got so much snow! But it was a little bit warm so the snow was sticky but there was a lot of it and unfortunately we did have to go out this weekend in all the snow.


Friday

Today was a great relaxing evening I just ran a few errands after work because it is suppose to snow over night and tomorrow all day! In the evening we made sure we got all of our tax papers together (really it was just Matt's stuff I was waiting on because I had my stuff done the week before).

Saturday

This morning I stayed home and watched all the snow fall. I also made mini banana muffins for the baby shower this evening for my new niece. At about quarter to 5 Rachel came to my house after her last prenatal class so we could go to the shower together. So we used Matt's truck to get to Karina's parents home. We made it there only about 2 minutes after 5pm which was surprising because I thought it would take us way longer with all the snow. When we got there just about everyone was already there and there were quite a few people there which I am so happy about that they were able to make it even with all the snow. We had some great food and played some fun games! Here are some pictures from the baby shower.

I saw this 2 in 1 cover and thought it was such a good idea that way she can use it when going grocery shopping to cover the shopping cart or when going out for dinner and put it on the high chair.

Sunday

This morning we went to church, I went to our usual congregation and Matt went to a different one because he was scheduled there. So I had to use my car to get through all the snow to church and I made it no problem! We had a choir practice after service and then I went home and had a snow day.

Five Question Friday

             Happy Friday everyone! Thank goodness it is Friday, now I just have to wait till the work day is done and then it will be great.

 

       1.What's something you're really good at doing? I think I am pretty good at planning things.
2. What's your best character trait? I have no idea ( I really don’t like to talk about myself it makes me feel a little weird)
3. What do people often compliment you about? Umm I guess when I do flowers at the church people compliment me on that.
4. What's one of the nicest things you've ever done for someone? I’m not really sure what it would be because everyone has their own slightly different idea of what “something nice” is to do for someone.  

     5. What's your best physical attribute? I think either my eyes or my hair.
